- The Amiga is capable of achieving 115K bps, but only when using
- some sort of extender board such as GVP's I/O Extender. My 3000
- tops out at 56K bps in the native serial slot. This made it
- very unexceptable to send frames of video from the PC to the
- Amiga. I now do the transfers with a Null Modem Cable at 115K
- bps and use the GVP I/O Extender. I don't like the slow speed,
- but at least I can go to bed and wake up with the transfer
- complete.
-
- BTW, I have a 3000Tower with absolutely NO room for anything
- else. I would install an Ethernet card if I had the room. But
- the Ethernets priority is 7th on the list. So it didn't make
- it. Maybe, the electronics company I work for can design a
- Y-Adaptor to split a single Zorro-III into 2 or 3 more slots!
- Who knows. They are needed among us power users.
